Wow, what a great weekend :)
Saturday morning- on the fly- Michael and I decided we needed to meet in Tallahasee for a night. So, I packed up our baby and a few things... and Liam got a *BIG* surprise in the parking lot of Outback, next to our hotel. God is so good to us, we miss each other so much, but we are finding ways to make it work! The drive was not bad at all, only a little over three hours and I-10 all the way. We got to each other just in time to eat lunch and spend the afternoon shopping together and enjoy an amazing dinner at Carrabas. It is so funny because we havent been since before I was pregnant. I said to him on the drive over, "I just want an insalata caesar from Carrabas so bad." And there was one right by our hotel :)
Liam has been missing his daddy so much, and I am so glad that I sucked up my fear of driving for so long alone (3 hours yea not so bad- but i had never done it before) and we made it and had a good time :)
In other news, we are searching for a home! Please pray that we find one that satisfies us and that our loan doesn't take a million years to process!
Love love love and more love!

God Answers Prayers
Got the "call" today. Michael is leaving for Training April 22. They have offered us Miami, FL.
I jinxed us because the whole time I have said "Anywhere but Miami." God, you sure do have away of humbling your people. We have a SLIGHT chance of having the Mongomery spot, so we would LOVE your prayers. I am a southern girl, this does not mean I am a Southern Florida girl. BIG DIFFERENCE.
Off to buy packing essentials and a new copy of The South Beach Diet I hear that a bikini is the standard dress code

Thanks.
I know I am supposed to be thankful for all that I have, and trust me I really am.. I am just having a down day I suppose. I do not use my checking account except for paying New York Life, but I had a little money from an account cashed out from my grandfathers death..and I used it. Well I am now negative $47. On top of all of that I owe my friend $20 AND my phone isn't working as of today. Great Great Great. I am still Thankful though :) Here I am smiling and Thankful :)

A week to give Thanks!
The Christmas Season is upon us, and this year in particular is more special than any I have celebrated before! This is so for many reasons, First being it is my Baby boy's first Christmas. Being a mommy is a great way to re-ignite the flame of magic and excitement in everything, whether it be a simple story book or in this case, Christmas!
I am hurrying around trying to figure out what to kick off our family traditions with. After all, having a fresh brand new family of your own means starting your own Christmas traditions. I am so excited, this weekend Michael, Liam and I bought our (fake) tree- I figured that it wouldn't as easily topple over and it would probably just be best to go the artificial route atleast this year! we also added some more kid friendly things to our decor!
This weekend was a blessing. Michael had his Men's group breakfast and then Flag Football, which gave Liam and I some time to spend with Nana (my mom) when she got back from her Publix trip :) Then Michael came over and we drove to Gulf Shores to look for Christmas stuff. We ended up at his sister Lisa's house and spent the rest of the evening there. Yesterday we had sunday School and then Lunch at Michaels parents and then Thanksgivin Banquet at church. We had a busy weekend, but a fun one.
Back to the subject, This week we give thanks! For what are you thankful? For me it is the little things; I am thankful for my husband. He hates his job, but he has one. I am thankful for my son, it never ceases to amaze me that I really can't remember life before his existence. It blows my mind. I am thankful for my mom, she does more for me in so many different ways, she is irreplacable. She has given me the space to be who I am today, never has she smothered me or taken over. Most importantly, above all else; I am thankful for Jesus Christ, the son of God, He gives me hope. God has blessed my family this year with people who care for us, and he has blessed us with good health, and with a place to live where we are free to worship him. Without him none of the other things I am thankful for would even be possible.

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:6-7) (Also see Psalm 55:22-23)
Today, I look forward to our weekend!
I need to go through my coupon binder and use the good ones before they expire! I have a ton of glade and febreeze ones and could use a holiday scent. Wow, what happened to the Karlie who laughed at her momma using coupons and now I have my fleur de lis and damask clad coupon binder (momma never had a binder) and i flip through the pages and take 3 hours in my beloved Publix... Haha
Tomorrow we are going to watch Michael play flag football at church!
Liam is growing up too fast I wish I could put our world on slow-mo for a while. He is now saying "tur tur" when we greet the turkey on our front door. He also says "heEeeyYy CaT!!" What a Joy it is, I am thankful to call myself his mommy!
Kisses & Hugs, Karlie

Blog Numero Uno

Hello Friends!
I will try to keep the updates to a weekly basis, since it is already Thursday I would like to fill you in on the highlights of our week Beginning on Sunday!
Sunday: This was the wonderful beginnig of our week! We started this week off with a bang and FINALLY decided to join our Church, Jubilee Baptist! We are excited to now be official! Michael has given his life to the Lord and will be baptized soon! Praise the Lord!! We ended Sunday with Bro Paul's Endtimes series, and look forward to the Thanksgiving banquet next Sunday Evening
Monday-Thursday: We have had quite a week so far! Liam turned 9 months old on Tuesday and we went for a doctors appointment. He is healthy and his iron is right on track! We also visited Santa at the Bass Pro Shops and I must say that it was a huge success, except for Liam's pants being hiked up to look like shorts! At THRILLZ GIFTS,we found out about the cutest website where you can actually invite one of Santa's elves home to stay for the 5 weeks before Christmas, it sounds like a blast http://www.elf-magic.com/ we may wait until next year for this one though! Today, I got out all of our Christmas Decor and put up a few things, I am taking them down now because it just doesn't feel right just yet!
I am reading a book I checked out today called The Purpose Of Christmas in hopes that I am in the right spirit for the season! I look forward to blogging about all of Liam's Joy this holiday season!
I will end with a verse for the day:

I will end with a verse for the day:
"If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.... If they persecuted Me they will persecute you... for they do not know the One who sent Me." John 15:19-21
All of our Love,
the Bowmans
