A week to give Thanks!

The Christmas Season is upon us, and this year in particular is more special than any I have celebrated before! This is so for many reasons, First being it is my Baby boy's first Christmas. Being a mommy is a great way to re-ignite the flame of magic and excitement in everything, whether it be a simple story book or in this case, Christmas!

I am hurrying around trying to figure out what to kick off our family traditions with. After all, having a fresh brand new family of your own means starting your own Christmas traditions. I am so excited, this weekend Michael, Liam and I bought our (fake) tree- I figured that it wouldn't as easily topple over and it would probably just be best to go the artificial route atleast this year! we also added some more kid friendly things to our decor!

This weekend was a blessing. Michael had his Men's group breakfast and then Flag Football, which gave Liam and I some time to spend with Nana (my mom) when she got back from her Publix trip :) Then Michael came over and we drove to Gulf Shores to look for Christmas stuff. We ended up at his sister Lisa's house and spent the rest of the evening there. Yesterday we had sunday School and then Lunch at Michaels parents and then Thanksgivin Banquet at church. We had a busy weekend, but a fun one.

Back to the subject, This week we give thanks! For what are you thankful? For me it is the little things; I am thankful for my husband. He hates his job, but he has one. I am thankful for my son, it never ceases to amaze me that I really can't remember life before his existence. It blows my mind. I am thankful for my mom, she does more for me in so many different ways, she is irreplacable. She has given me the space to be who I am today, never has she smothered me or taken over. Most importantly, above all else; I am thankful for Jesus Christ, the son of God, He gives me hope. God has blessed my family this year with people who care for us, and he has blessed us with good health, and with a place to live where we are free to worship him. Without him none of the other things I am thankful for would even be possible.
